Rats and Mice
Rats and mice are one of the most common pests we deal with in British Columbia. Our year-round warm weather conditions and ample food and water sources make the perfect home for these pests to flourish and reproduce. While their little faces may look innocent, these pests can cause significant property damage because they chew or gnaw on insulation, siding, wiring, and more in your home. They enjoy eating a variety of foods commonly found in most household pantries.
Luckily, they are easy to detect and leave plenty of evidence of their presence behind. You may find chewed food boxes or items in your pantry or on the cupboard, they leave droppings wherever they go, mice leave nesting material inside your home and rats leave burrows in the soil outside. When your home is quiet you may also hear rodents moving around between walls, in attics, and under your foundation.
Rats and mice have a short reproductive cycle so it’s crucial you get rid of them efficiently as an infestation can get out of hand quickly.
